Manal bint Mohammed visits Art Dubai 2023

Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Gender Balance Council, President of the Dubai Women Establishment, and the wife of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, visited Art Dubai 2023. The leading global platform for art and artists from the Middle East and Global South is being held at Madinat Jumeirah Dubai from 1-5 March, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

HH Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was accompanied during the tour by her daughter Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Sheikha Manal expressed her admiration of the artworks displayed at this year’s exhibition. The large participation of renowned international and local artists reflects Dubai’s emergence as a global hub for creativity, culture and talent, Her Highness said.

"Over the years, Art Dubai has consolidated its position as one of the world’s leading art fairs. It has also succeeded in realising the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to strengthen Dubai’s status as a regional and global hub for culture and the creative economy,” Sheikha Manal said. Her Highness added that the city’s capabilities and world-class infrastructure have contributed to its emergence as a leading hub for cultural innovation.  

Also accompanying Her Highness during her visit to Art Dubai 2023 was Her Excellency Mona Al Marri, Vice President of the UAE Gender Balance Council.

Sheikha Manal praised Dubai Culture for its key efforts in enhancing Dubai’s cultural and creative offerings through its partnerships with the private sector and various talent in the UAE and from across the world. This has further enhanced Dubai’s emergence as a global destination for creatives.

During her tour of the exhibition, Her Highness was briefed on the main elements of the 16th edition of the event, which features 130 galleries from more than 40 countries, across four main sections: Contemporary, Modern, Bawwaba, and Art Dubai Digital.
