Distinctive participation by DMI in Careers UAE 2010

Faisal Abdullah: DMI seeks to create a new Emirati media generation, under the directives of Ahmad Al Shaikh

Dubai: March 28, 2010: Within the framework of its keenness to communicate with all segments of society, Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) announced its participation in the 10th annual Careers Show held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, from 28 - 30 March 2010.

Careers Show is a high-caliber event that enables talented UAE nationals in all fields to meet directly with recruiters and hiring managers from top employers. Careers Show was designed to expose job seekers to various training and career opportunities.

Faisal Abdullah, CEO of Institutional Support of Dubai Media Incorporated, underlined DMI’s commitment to foster and encourage UAE nationals in order to create a new Emirati media generation able to deploy and demonstrate the image of Dubai and the UAE and their local and global achievements to the international arena, as well as supporting the Emiratisation program in cooperation with governmental and private institutions, upon directives of H.E. Ahmad Abdullah Al Sheikh, Managing Director of Dubai Media Incorporated.

Reminding of agreements and partnerships that have been signed with a number of official bodies in UAE, such as the a convention of cooperation with the Higher Colleges of Technology in the areas of training of students and implementation of a series of joint ventures and investment of human and logistical capabilities and potentialities, to produce quality programs that DMI intend to produced in the future. Faisal Abdullah Added: “We always stress on the importance of strengthening and consolidating the principle of loyalty to Dubai Media Incorporated, which celebrates national talents and experiences, providing real and practical opportunities to demonstrate their energies, while DMI’s management is seeking to strengthen this feeling, in the interest of human creative cadres, capable of creativity and innovation like Dubai and other emirates which has always sought to lead, in their lasting race for excellence, for this reason we have stated in different occasions, that DMI will not dispense it’s employees, but always seeks to attract local and Arab professionals, hence our participation and official sponsorship of the 10th Careers UAE 2010 comes within this strategy.”

Wajdan Al Dahkooni, Deputy Director of Human Resources of DMI, noted that; Dubai Media Incorporated achieved through its multiple media channels remarkable success and obtained several prestigious awards and international certifications, in historic achievements as the first media organisation in the Middle East to receive the (ISO) 2000:9001 for Quality Management System Standards, in addition to the (CIPS) Excellence Certification for highest standards in governance and organisational excellence by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), as well as the ISO 27001-Certificate of Information Security, the highest standard of quality in security and protection of information in the world, in addition to dozens of other awards and other certificates of appreciation.

In a gesture reflecting the strategy of Dubai Media Incorporated to communicate and interact with multiple community segments, the Department of Human Resources, is now assisting the media and journalists in providing information about DMI, as well as advertising vacancies for various administrative and media jobs, where submitted applications will be reviewed after the end of the Career Show, prelude to the appointment of national qualifications in all available vacancies announced by DMI during this period.

Excellent media coverage
Through its active participation this year, DMI provides distinctive coverage through its special and uniquely designed pavilion in a manner reflecting the organization's vision and its multiple media channels (press, radio and TV), with TV screens presenting program summaries broadcast in each channel, as well as a special display with full coverage of the event.

DMI channels and departmental managers meet with journalists and public visitors in the evening, while the channels coverage of the event varies through different programs, news and special reports.
