In an unprecedented achievement, Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) one of the Middle East’s largest TV broadcasters and creative services group, was rewarded with 8 wins at the annual Promax/BDA Arabia Awards 2008. DMI performed outstandingly at the ceremony, held on May 25th and May 26th 2008 at Grosvnor House Hotel, Dubai.
DMI, which received sixteen awards last year, topped its wins this year with five Gold Awards and three Silver Awards in creative execution, promotion and programming categories.
Dubai One’s promotion campaigns were a clear favorite among judges, walking away with three Gold awards for Best in House Station Image Promo, Best Movie Promo, and Best On-Air Channel Ident.
Dubai Sports won two Gold awards for Best On-Air Channel Branding and Best News & Factual Title Sequence. Dubai Sports also won one Silver award for Best Editing.
Dubai TV received one Silver award for On-Air Channel Branding while Sama Dubai Channel rounded off the evening with a Silver for Best Set Design.
DMI's outstanding performance at the event typified a night of excellence in Dubai. The awards celebrate works of excellence in promotion, marketing and broadcast design that was aired, published or distributed in Arabia.
